This is a digital painting and I was very pleased with it. I drew Phil beforehand (for me, he's a tough subject to draw, probably because of his glasses) and was appreciative that in digital work, you can paint underneath the sketch so that you don't lose all that work. One of the things that grieve me in painting tangible work is that you can lose a lot of nice sketches that no one will be able to see as you've blasted over it with paint.
